I have been around antiques most of my life with my Grandparents being antique dealers, but to me, everything was Depression Glass. Now that I have acquired that zeal to collect and sale antiques, my eyes have truly been opened that there is more to antiques.
I started my own personal collection in 2007 by collecting Diana Amber Depression Glass. My Grandmother left me with an inheritance of a creamer, sugar, and toothpick holder and I had them packed away for many years. Now I am very close to having a complete 8 piece table setting!
The knowledge in collectibles and antiques never ends! Just when I think that I can not possibly learn anymore, I find a new and exciting piece. I am an very particular to find out the what, when, where, and why of things that I purchase prior to keeping or selling. |
