|This listing is for a womens two piece skirt and jacket set. Please take note that the jacket and skirt are not the same size. The jacket is a 46, and the skirt is a 42. Please take note of this and do not bid if it is a concern. This is truly a striking outfit, and appears to be of very high quality. Both pieces are in excellent condition. The jacket does not look like it has ever been worn. The skirt doesn’t look like it has been worn much, but it was probably worn briefly, as the waistband area near the button is slightly pulled and folded down, and the top button was loose when I got the skirt. The skirt must have been a bit too tight for the wearee. No permanent damage has been done however; but the area could use a steaming or light pressing to flatten out the folds. The top button on the skirt did eventually come all the way off, however, I do have that button and it will be included with the outfit. It just needs to be sewn back on. |
Please take note that the jacket and skirt are not the same size. The jacket is a 46, and the skirt is a 42. Please take note of this and do not bid if it is a concern. The permanent label in the dress says: Original Alphorn Trachtenmode. There is a small label under that label that gives the size as 46. The 46 is visible on the back of the small label.
There is another label on a side seam, which says that the fiber content is 80 % schurwolle, and 20% polyamid, and futter is 100% acetat. There one of the metal toned buttons sewn onto this label, as a spare button. The main color of the jacket is very pretty. I am not sure how to describe the color. The collar and lapels, as well as the rims on the faux pockets, and the binding trim next to the faux antler decorations are in a gray color. The turned back cuffs are also in the same gray colored fabric. The jacket has princess seaming, front and back. The back has a self-fabric belt, which is fastened together, and has one of the faux antler decorations sewn on it. The jacket has long sleeves with turnback cuffs. It buttons up the front with one of the metal toned buttons. The binding around this buttonhole is a dark gray color. The buttons look like they are made out of a lightweight metal. They have a striking design on them, which is an acorn attached to some leaves. There are also two of those buttons on the lapels of the color, which serve as decoration, I expect. There are also very cute little faux animal antlers on the front of the jacket, which are also decoration. These are made out of some kind of hard plastic. They are not real horn. The jacket has faux, or decorative pockets on the front bottom of the jacket. These are sewn shut; so do not appear to be functional pockets. The sleeves are gathered at the top of the shoulder; where they meet the shoulder seam. The jacket is fully lined. The skirt is gray in color. I notice the color of the skirt looks like it has some green in it, on my monitor. It is an actually a gray tone. The permanent label in the skirt says: Original Alphorn Trachtenmode. There is a small label under that label that gives the size as 42. There is another label on a side seam, which says that the fiber content is 70 % schurwolle, and 30% polyamid, and futter is 100% acetat. The skirt does have a lining in it, although the lining has cut outs at the sides of it. That is the way that the lining was made, possibly this was done to reduce bulk. The skirt buttons up the center front. The top button on the skirt has come off, however, I do have that button and it will be included with the outfit. The skirt has a waistband, which has two areas of elastic at the back side waistband areas. The skirt is a gathered skirt. The fabric is gathered into the waistband in pleats. The buttons up the front of the skirt alternate between the metal buttons, and the faux antler buttons. The first four button holes have colored binding, which alternates between the color used for the body of the jacket, and the same dark gray color that was used for the jacket buttonhole. The remainder of the buttonholes are plain buttonholes. There is a design embroidered on one of the sides of the skirt, at the far side of the skirt, near the hem area. The design has a leaf, and what looks like it might be some kind of nuts in it.
