Classically elegant porcelain colonial figures, made in Japan, probably during the 1950s. Colorful burgundy, green, and cream with flowery details and gold highlights. Gentleman is 5.25 inches tall, lady is 5 inches tall. Lady is stamped on the bottom in red "Made in Japan"; this romantic couple has always been a pair.
In excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. Some wear to the painted detail adds to the historic interest of these pieces, and doesn't detract.
