This is totally gorgeous; it's a flower bowl from the renowned Abingdon Pottery which was only producing art pottery from 1938 until 1950.
The colour is a sort of colonial blue with a high gloss and the shape is sort of like a stylized three-leaf clover with curly-q's at the base.
It's marked "Abingdon Pottery 583".
This is a substantial piece; it measures about 5 1/4" tall, the mouth is about 9" at its mouth and about 5 1/2" at the base.
This piece is in excellent condition; there are no cracks, chips, crazing or stains - it DOES have a small (1/3") unglazed area on the inside.
