Advertising Postcard Santa's Rocket Ship ~ Tyler, Texas
The colorful vehicle on the card (along with four "sister" vehicles) was owned and operated by Mr. Lloyd B. Laster of Tyler, TX. It visited many Southern towns and special events during the 1960's and 1970's. When Mr. Laster retired in 1974, the vehicles were sold and relocated to Wisconsin where they entertained folks in the Upper Midwest for several more years.

"Santa's Rocket Ship is custom built of aluminum and is enclosed and heated in the event of cold weather. It is 40 feet long, 12 feet 6 inches high, and 8 feet wide. Seating capacity, 65 children."
