|SOLD For sale is a very nice vintage Native American malachite pendant. The pendant is signed on the back with the makers stamp, Jon McCray. The name is in block letters, and is in a circle, at the top. There is also the letter JM in the center of the circle, and at the bottom of the circle it says IHMSS.
The stone is a pretty malachite stone, in a teardrop shape. It is very pretty; it has stripes in various shades of green, from a deep green color, to a lighter green.
Please note that there is some very light wear to a small area on the surface of the stone, in the center of the stone. The sheen is slightly worn away in a small area. It is barely noticeable, but I could see it when I held the pendant under a bright light. So please take note of this and do not purchase if this is a concern.
The stone has a nice sheen to it, and there are no cracks in the stone.
The pendant measures approximately 1 and 5/16 long, not including the bale, and approximately 1 and 1/16 of an inch wide, at its widest part.
The pendant is on the heavier side for its size, and seems to be a well made piece. The setting is in a cutwork style. There are actual cuts in the metal to make a design. This is a classy, and elegant looking pendant.
There is a light layer of tarnish on the pendant, which gives the silver a gorgeous burnished look, and compliments the green color of the stone beautifully. The tarnish could be kept as is, or polished away.
