|For sale is a vintage book from 1991 entitled Remy Martin L'Esprit Du Cognac by Thomas Laurenceau. The book has an inscription made out to Bob, by a member of the Heriard Dubreuil family.
There is an inscription on the front page of the book, written in french in elegant handwriting. It is inscribed to a person's first name, Bob, and is signed by a Heriard Dubreuil, with the first letter possibly being a D, although it may not be a D as there ia a slight variance between this letter and the D of the last name.
However, according to the internet, the Heriard Dubreuils controlled this company at some point, and there was a Madame Dominique Heriard Dubreuil (CEO of Rémy Martin), so this possibly be the person who inscribed this, or the first letter could be a J or some other letter and it could be a different Heriard Dubreuil person altogether.
There doesn't seem to be many copies of this book around. Despite some wear and tear to this book, this could be a great gift for a collector.
The final page of the book says: Printed by Arti Grafiche Motta Arese, Italy in September 1991.
This book has many beautiful glossy photographs in it.
This is a large hardcover book. This book was pre-owned and does have wear to it.
The spine appears that it may be every so slightly cocked at the bottom. It appears to have been slightly bent at the bottom spine area.
It also appears that there may have been a sticker or label across the bottom of the spine. The bottom spine and immediate back area looks slightly darker and as if there is some sticker residue present, as if a sticker or label was on this area at one time.
However, overall the book is sturdy. The spine is not broken or cracked and there are no loose pages.
The book does not have a dust jacket.
There is wear to the corners of the book. The top right hand front corner has wear on the corner to the point where the cover is worn down to the underneath board.
The two bottom corners have minor wear to them.
The cloth part of the book, covering the spine area and some of the front, has some whitish marks on it. It is possible there may be a way to clean these marks off of the cloth, but I don't know what it is.
There is some minor discoloration to the bottom area of the first page. It is possible that this could be removed with a gum type eraser.
The last several pages of the book got a bend in the lower corner of the page in them at some point. The pages are laying fairly flat now, but the folds are still visible.
There are also some pages in the first quarter of the book where the bottom pages have a tiny bend or fold in them.
