This is a very cool little pottery jug with the handwritten legend, "Snake Bite Medicine" and "Aged in the Woods" emblazoned on the front and "Try Our Booze" across the back.
The jug is a glossy brown with a green stopped ~ the original cork is still there! The piece is unmarked.
The jug measures about 7" tall and 3 3/4" at its widest diameter. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing ~ the cold-painted lettering is intact with no misses. |
