Oriental Theme, Men with Parasols - 3 Antique Lithographed Victorian Advertising Trade Cards.
1. Stock trade card with man standing in front of landscape and golden sky; reverse is blank. Measures 2-1/8 by 3-7/8 inches. Lower left corner lightly creased.
2. Similar man with large bird, blossoms, pyramidal mountains in the background. Advertising for J.E. Jones, Dry Goods, Providence, Rhode Island. Reverse is blank. Card measures 4-1/4 by 3 inches. Corners and top edge extremely chipped.
3. "Bacon, Stickney & Co., Enterprise Baking Powder, Coffees, Spices, &c. Albany, N.Y." Measures 3-1/4 by 2 inches. Names written in pencil on the back. Light surface wear; lightly yellowed.
Each item is an original card from a late-nineteenth century scrapbook. The image, printed by color lithography, is a chromolithograph, or "chromo."
