Mehlin Piano, Delhi NY - Antique Lithographed Victorian Advertising Trade Card. Little girl in pinafore is holding up a newspaper: "The Mehlin High Grade Pianos Received the highest award at the Worlds Fair....That's the Piano Mama's going to buy." Printed by Tobin, New York. Advertising on the back for "The Mehlin Patent Inverted Grand. Entire interior construction precisely like Grand Piano inverted." W.C. Munn, General Agent. Card measures 3-1/4 by 4-1/2 inches. Slight surface wear. Back with small areas of surface paper peeling and light glue residue.
Each item is an original card from a late-nineteenth century scrapbook. The image, printed by color lithography, is a chromolithograph, or "chromo."
