For your consideration is a set of 4 hand painted Kuntani sake cups. The cups are delicate, translucent, egg shell porcelain. Each cup features a different figure in traditional Japanese attire, which I believe are depictions of 4 of the seven lucky gods of Japan. A toast or poem is transcribed inside each cup.
The cups have seal mark which reads Kyokuzan meaning 'morning sun mountain'. This is a known Kutani mark and dates the cups in the 1950s. All items are in excellent vintage condition however, these are used items so please examine the picture carefully and email me with any questions prior to purchase. |
