For your consideration is a delicate Kuntani sugar and creamer. The artist hand painted the classic design of a geisha reaching into the garden for wisteria. The pieces are accented with gold trim.
Kuntani means Nine Valleys and is the name of a village and a section of Japan. The mark on the cups says “nine” and “valley.” These were made from the early to mid twentieth century. Excellent condition. c. 1900-1950. |
