Jones Dry Goods, Providence, Rhode Island - Antique Lithographed Victorian Advertising Trade Cards. "J. E. Jones, Dry Goods" advertised on 2 cards with different floral designs against a black background. Each measures 4-3/8 by 2-7/8 inches. Both have light surface and edge wear, and the Rose floral has light creasing around the edges. Reverse sides are blank. The blue floral has light stains from glue residue and the rose floral has more moderate glue stains and some peeling of the surface paper in the corners.
Each item is an original card from a late-nineteenth century scrapbook. The image, printed by color lithography, is a chromolithograph, or "chromo."
