"Hood's Pills cure Liver Ills," Antique Lithographed Victorian Advertising Trade Card. Sweet rosy-cheeked girl wears lace-trimmed hood. Card is die-cut to shape of frame. Advertising on back for Hood's Vegetable Pills, "purely vegetable, and contain no calomel, mercury, or mineral substance. ... Prepared by C.I. Hood & Co., Lowell, Mass." Measures 3 by 3 inches. Light crease across bottom edge.
This item is an original card from a late-nineteenth century scrapbook. The image, printed by color lithography, is a chromolithograph, or "chromo."
