Handwritten, 1878 - Antique Lithographed Victorian New Year Greetings Card. Floral design with personal greeting handwritten with ink pen: "Wishing you a very Happy New Year 1878, your friend." Reverse is blank. Measures 5-1/4 by 2-1/2 inches. Slight surface wear; lightly yellowed.
Each item is an original card from a late-nineteenth century scrapbook. The image, printed by color lithography, is a chromolithograph, or "chromo."
