This rare art deco etching called Aztec Triangles Five (D-78) was done by the Wheeling Decorating Company on a Fostoria Glass Co. No. 2331 covered candy box. Wheeling did not make their own glass, but etched and decorated glass blanks purchased from the major glass companies of the depression era. The Aztec Triangles Five has part of the etched surface left undecorated with gold encrusting on the remainder of the etching. The set measures 7" in diameter and 5" in height. As typical with most Wheeling etchings, there is moderate gold loss (approximately 20%) on the lid rim, and approximately 10% gold loss on the rest of the decorated surface. It is almost impossible to find this etching without some gold loss. There are no chips, flakes, or other damage to the candy box. Buyer is responsible for all shipping charges. We are always willing to combine shipment of multiple purchases provided that the integrity and safe arrival of your items are not jeopardized.
With the exception of international transactions, shipping insurance is offered as an option, however it is highly recommended. Glass Amigos will not be held responsible for lost or uninsured items.
International buyers are welcome, however, please keep in mind that shipping outside of the United States can be expensive and it is a cost which you shall bear. All international transactions will be required to be insured. In addition, payment MUST be made through PayPal.
Returns will be accepted ONLY if an item has been grossly misrepresented. Contact is to be initiated with seller prior to return of item. Item must be returned in original packaging and be postmarked for return within 7 days of receipt.
