Eggs Blue Rooster primitive folk painting on old wood
Hand painted with the word EGGS and featuring a cute blue rooster measures 6 inches tall by 13 inches long. This primitive sign on reclaimed wood is perfect for any primitive country décor. The hanger is made entirely from antique wire and hand fashioned to be extra curly cute! I was incredibly inspired by this rough cut cedar wood reclaimed from behind and old church. We could not officially date this wood, however the best guess is that its is from somewhere around the 1940’s. A time when life was simple, and our world did not move at such a crazy pace. Where eggs could still be bought straight from the farm, and everyone knew their neighbors. Most of my work reflects this and I try to keep my subject matters simple and fun, so they are sure to put smiles on the faces of those who see them! I used a latex paint so the painting can be hung indoors or out. I prefer the latex to other paints because of the durability. This picture sign is built to last. And you will not be disappointed!
