Joseph is holding a stalk of lilies
All three figures have rays radiating from them
Above Jesus head is a dove superseded by God the Father
who is surrounded on both sides by angels.
It is mounted under glass in its original gold gilt Jesso frame
Measures 17 ½ across x 21 ¾ inch high
From the length of the wire this picture was hung high
so that it would tilt overhead forcing the observer to look up.
I could find no defects other than normal aging of the picture and frame.
