Efficient 40 LED driver
This low voltage high current LED driver gives greater current boost in a small, lightweight and rugged package. Utilizing Lochtech's latest Pulse-Burst Modulation(PBM) technique, these units are able to illuminate large arrays of individual Super-Bright or Luxeon type LEDs and drive loads.
Use one or more of these LED drivers to build a high output LED lighting system on your bicycle. Very easy to use and incorporate into any type of design. Hooking up is as simple as power in - power out. For best results, LEDs are wired in parallel. Wiring can be done in series with less efficiency. These drivers are designed to use 1.2 and 1.5 volt batteries configured in series or parallel. This allows you to minimize on weight and is a convenient source of power to bring along, recharge and or buy when you are out riding. It works just as good with any other battery pack as long as it supplies the correct voltages. 2 x AA's@3V can give you enough bright light for up to 4-6 hours of continuous use. Increase this by using C or D cells which can give you up to 8-12 hours of good bright riding light! Use two units and light up 80 or more Super-Bight LEDs or use a 1 Watt Luxeon type LED for each driver! Light output from this driver using only 28 (11000mcd/30degree) LEDs is as good as a 13 Watt lighting system, producing a beam that extends 10-20 feet, of course pointing the beam down will illuminate the ground ahead with good coverage! This driver can approximate a 10 Watt light source using only 1 Watt of power!
