Dr. Thomas' Eclectric Oil, Antique Lithographed Victorian Advertising Trade Card. Two chicks hatching depicted on front with printed lacy edging. Some black ink offset from original printing on the face side. Back has advertising: "What it has done. What it will do. It will positively cure Toothache in 5 minutes; Lameness in 2 days; Deafness in 2 days; Croup it will cease in 5 minutes." Measures 3-1/2 by 5-1/4 inches. Lower left corner clipped and lightly creased.
This item is an original card from a late-nineteenth century scrapbook. The image, printed by color lithography, is a chromolithograph, or "chromo."
