Crown Filled Watch Case, H. Muhr's Sons, Manufacturers, Philadelphia. Antique Lithographed Victorian Trade Card. "Old King Cole ... called for his Crown Filled Case." He's pictured with a watch case on his head as his crown. Card has been trimmed on the bottom and some of the text is missing on the back, in addition to some peeling of the surface paper. Corners are creased. Measures 2-1/2 by 3-1/2 inches.
This item is an original card from a late-nineteenth century scrapbook. The image, printed by color lithography, is a chromolithograph, or "chromo."
