Clark's Thread Baby Rattle - Antique Lithographed Victorian Advertising Trade Card. "A Favorite with the Ladies," charming illustration of a Victorian baby using a spool of thread as a toy. Advertising on the back: "George A. Clark, Sole Agent. The best and most popular sewing thread of modern times." Card measures 4-5/8 by 3-1/8 inches. Light surface wear and 1 pinhole near the baby's mouth.
Each item is an original card from a late-nineteenth century scrapbook. The image, printed by color lithography, is a chromolithograph, or "chromo."
