As a hobby I have collected over the years many Apple II items (mostly from eBay in its early years) and they are taking up space. To make room for my family I have sold some items here a while ago and I am now selling more of them. My first computer was an Apple II+ clone and so I know something about these items. I'll try to answer questions to the best of my knowledge.
This is the Hard Disk 20SC (Model M2604) from Apple Computer circa 1986. It was Apple's first SCSI (Small Computer System Interface) based hard drive for the Apple II family as well as the Macintosh and other third party computers using an industry standard interface. For an Apple II plus, IIe or IIgs to access storage in this external SCSI device, a SCSI card, cable, terminator (depends on configuration) and power cord are needed. The latter three are included with the hard disk. This hard disk has 20MB storage and is made in U.S.A.. More information about this storage device is available here. This particular unit is in good cosmetic condition. The front part has yellowed due to sunlight exposure and there is some spray paint on its bottom as pictured (should be removable with solvent). Also, one of the rubber legs that was missing (as in the picture) was replaced. That sums up the cosmetic imperfections that I could observed. I don’t have a SCSI card handy to test this unit but I did power it on. Both the power LED and fan came up and the drive made the normal spin-up and calibration noises. I left the unit on for two hours and there was no observable abnormality. Due to the nature of vintage electronics, I cannot guarantee anything about this more than a quarter-century old unit.
