Both Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1-channel surround-sound signals can be routed through the player's digital-audio output (through a .125-inch minijack-to-Toslink optical cable, not supplied) for direct connection to a full-featured audio/video receiver. S-video and composite-video outputs simplify hookup with a home TV. The composite-video and stereo analog audio outputs are switchable as inputs so you can use the PD500 as a monitor for a camcorder, VCR, or gaming console if you wish.
