Dover Needlework Series book ~ A Treasury Of Charted Designs. This book has 41 pages with 141 designs including Birds, Flowers, Animals, Toys, etc. If you are a needleworker this book may be the best investment you've ever made. It contains 141 motifs charted for ready use for different forms of needlwork---needlepoint, latch-hooking, counted cross-stitch, crochet and knitting.
The book is divided into categories. There are birds, animals, fish, fruit and vegetables, toys, flowers, gardening tools, musical instruments, old-fashioned items, vehicles, churches, homes, stores, and others. You can choose from an owl, bluebird, flamingo, lovebirds, a cat with yarn, a bee-hive in clover, a toy train, a sad clown, a rocking horse, mushrooms, onions, strawberries, daisies, tulips, pansies, violets, angel fish, a piano, a horn, a violin, a coffee grinder, a spinning wheel, a Tiffany lamp, a windmill, a covered bridge, candyland, a country church, a Victorian house and many, many more!
All designs are worked on easy-to-read grids which are ten squares to the inch. The introduction tells you how to determine the size of your designs, how to use the charts for needlepoint, counted cross-stitch, and othe forms of needlework.
Each design has its own color key. You can use the key and the colored designs on the covers or let your imagination run free and substitute any color you choose to create your own unique design.
This book is softcover, new, unused, does have yellowed pages .. an original Dover (1977) publication which has long been out of print.
All craft books may have price sticker residue, possible corner tip crease and some shelfwear to cover, I will note any other larger defects, like rips or tears. This is new off the shelf unless otherwise noted. From a non-smoking home and shipped in a plastic bag to help assure that it stays fresh along the way.
