One of the oldest cultivars of Japanese silver grass on the market, variegated silver grass has been used in landscapes since 1900 and continues to be very popular. Variegated Silver Grass is a large, upright, clumping grass with striking foliage and eye-catching flowering plumes that rise above the arching leaves. Foliage and flowers sway gracefully in the wind while reflecting the sunlight. This large grass will reach 5-6' tall and as wide. The flower plumes will rise 2-3 feet above the foliage. Loves full sun. Grows 4 to 7 feet tall and 3 to 4 feet wide, great to use for hiding unsightly areas.
