Lovely vintage Homer Laughlin Eggshell Cavalier bread plate, in the Romance pattern. Delicate pink blossoms and white sprays are painted over the turquoise saucer rim. Edged and highlighted with platinum. This is a subtle, textured pattern with timeless appeal! 6.25 inches across. This piece is unmarked. It came with a set with other pieces which were marked "Cavalier Eggshell Homer Laughlin USA C57N5", indicating that they were made in March, 1957 at Plant 5.
In excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. No wear to the platinum. No noticeable utensil marks. Purchased at an estate sale, and was told that the set was treated as the "good china" and was rarely used.
