A very lovely antique / vintage silver plate (may be silver) medal of the Lady of Fatima whose 6th and last appearance to the three young Portuguese girls on 13 October 1917, when related, astonished the world. WWI was robbing the countries involved of their future - as it was held in the wasted lives of their men & boys. 'Wasted' may not the correct word, but that War To End All Wars did not have that result & in it lay the seeds to WWII.
The Vision of Fatima came with a prophecy these children were told not to reveal. For those who believe, the Lady of Fatima also represents Protection.
Measures approximately 1 inch in diameter. The Miracle of the 3 girls looking up at Mary is shown on one side and a profile of Mary on the reverse.
