This commemorative display was produced by the Franklin Mint. It consists of a limited edition proof sterling silver medal (.925 silver), a USSR commemorative stamp postmarked at Baikonur, USSR and a US commemorative stamp postmarked at Kennedy Space Center, Florida. All three items commemorated the historic linkup of the Apollo spacecraft (USA) with the Soyuz spacecraft (USSR) on July 17, 1975. Both panels containing the stamps with postmarks and the encapsulated proof sterling silver medal are all lamented under a plastic cover. The display frame can be set on a desk or flat surface. The frame measures approximately 10 ¼ inches by 4 ½ inches. There is an informational pamphlet that lists the history of the events of that historic occasion. All items are in very fine condition with no defects. Images of stamp panels, info pamphlet and silver medal are included for your review.
