Condition and description: Extensive cover wear to this 70 year old book. The first page of the book is detached. Previous owner's name on that page, and on last page of book - no addtional writing in book. The rest of the binding is still tight, pages show aging. This is a book that should be carefully handled, simply because it is a 70 year old softcover book.

Cover art by Norman Rockwell, 1929 Brown & Bigelow Scout calendar painting, entitled "Spirit of America" (painted in 1927). It featured the profile of a Scout in campaign hat and red neckerchief against a blue background containing the profiles of American heroes (Lincoln, Washington, Ben Franklin, Teddy Roosevelt, a frontiersman, an Indian, and Charles Lindbergh, who had just completed his famous flight). The back cover had a US Tire ad.

Shipping Charges
We charge actual shipping plus a small handling charge. Your shipping may be less than the estimate indicated but will never be more. We combine shipping on all items purchased at one time. Buyers outside of the USA should contact us for shipping quote prior to purchase.
Books are shipped media mail within 24 hours of receiving your payment. We ship daily and all items are packed securely and delivery confirmation is included. If you are paying by echeck, item is shipped within 24 hours of echeck clearing.
