SYNOPSIS: John Lovell had once boasted that one Englishman could whip ten Spaniards - and he swore it had not been and idle boast when his daughter was raped by a Spanish admiral leading an onslaught on the island of St. Christopher in 1638. But not until he and his followers had suffered the lash of the overseer, tugged the oars of the galley and worked the mines of Potosi, was he able to make true his vow and seek out his enemy - corroded by revenge which no amount of blood and suffering could ever sate.....
