Bussey McLeod Gold Coin Stove Antique Lithographed Victorian Advertising Trade Card. Illustration of a child clown playing drums that are decorated with U.S. Indian-head coins dated 1881. Advertising on the back with an illustration of the Cold Coin parlor stove for wood. Manufactured by Bussey and McLeod Stove Co., Troy, NY. Card measures 3-3/8 by 5-1/2 inches. Light surface and edge wear, bottom edge is chipped; back is yellowed with age-toning.
Each item is an original card from a late-nineteenth century scrapbook. The image, printed by color lithography, is a chromolithograph, or "chromo."
