J. & P. Coats Thread Sailing Antique Lithographed Victorian Advertising Trade Card. Illustration of three men on a ship, with sails in the background. Advertising on the back for Coats Best Six Cord Thread. Measures 4 by 2-3/4 inches. Light surface and edge wear; slight creasing. Back with some light surface paper peeling.
Each item is an original card from a late-nineteenth century scrapbook. The image, printed by color lithography, is a chromolithograph, or "chromo."
