This paperback Leo Kessler's (writing as Charles Whiting) account of 'Death of a Division' published by Arrow Books in the UK in 1979. Book is in reasonable condition, (see picture). 156 pages. Picture is of actual book.
SYNOPSIS: December 1944. With the Germans in retreat, the 106th Allied Division were moved up to the frontier between Germany and Belgium. The war apparently over on the 'ghost frontier', they were the greenest division ever to find itself in the front line. Within days, the 106th found themselves in the path of von Manteuffel's mighty Panzer 5th Army - a quarter of a million men set on a last desperate offensive. The 'Golden Lions' were trapped by one of the most disastrous miscalculations of the war - and the battle that followed was a frenzy of bloody chaos...
