Condition and description: Condition is acceptable. There are many stains on the back cover and a few on the front. A few stains on some inside pages, but mostly tanning due to aging. The spiral binding is tight.
This is a vintage church cookbook. However, there is nothing to indicate the church that produced it. There is a stamp on the inside front cover that indicates it was purchased from a Charlotte, North Carolina used book store. In addition, on one of the last pages in the book is a calendar showing the dates that Easter falls on for 23 years. The starting year is 1972, so I would guess the book dates to that year. The pages are typwritten which is also a sign that this is an older cookbook, as does the wear and tanning to the pages.
Contents include: Breads and Rolls, Cakes and Cookies, Desserts, Main Dishes, Soups and Salads, Vegetables, Miscellaneous. There is also a last section that includes the Easter Calendar, Wedding Anniversaries, Calendar Facts, Typical Appliance Wattages, How to Measure, Table of Substitutions, Most Usual Weights and Measures, Seasoning Guide, Buying Canned Foods, Silver and Flatware Guide, Knife, Guide, Table of Equivalents, Timetables for Roasting/Defrosting Turkeys, Suggestions for Meat Cookery, How to Carve a Porterhouse and Rolled Rib Roast, Three Meals from One Cut of Meat, Carving a Crown Roast of Lamb, Carving Ham, Cuts of Veal, Cuts of Lamb, Cuts of Beef, Roasting Time and Temperature Chart, Carving a Leg of Lamb, Cuts of Pork, Storage Time Guide for Meats, Deep Fat Frying Chart, Diagram for Buffet Table Set Up, Cheese Guide, Terms Used in Recipes, Houseplants Most Likely to Succeed, Spot Removal Guide. Many of these guides are illustrated with diagrams, charts, etc.
In addition, the previous owner of the book had some loose recipes tucked inside. These will be sent with the book. Some are handwritten, some are on index cards, some are in smaller cookbooks.

Shipping Charges
We charge actual shipping plus a small handling charge. Your shipping may be less than the estimate indicated but will never be more. We combine shipping on all items purchased at one time. Buyers outside of the USA should contact us for shipping quote prior to purchase.
Books are shipped media mail within 24 hours of receiving your payment. We ship daily and all items are packed securely and delivery confirmation is included. If you are paying by echeck, item is shipped within 24 hours of echeck clearing.
