Blue Ridge Pottery 7-inch Bread or Salad Plate, 1940s "Betty" Hand Painted Design
Brightly colored 5 petal flower on a graceful 3 leaf stem, this vintage Blue Ridge / Southern Potteries design was painted by hand on a white plate with crimped edges - their Candlewick shape. Probably from around the World War II era. Unmarked, but it is correctly identified as a wonderful example of American folk art from the well known Tennessee company which produced dishes from the 1930s until 1957.
Dimensions: about 7 inches in diameter.
Condition: an adorable display piece in very good condition, with a very few inconspicuous utensil marks which don't detract at all from the pattern. There is a 1/8" chip on the back rim, not detectable from the front. Perfect for display! |
