Commander from Swiss Legend. A stainless steel unidirectional rotating
bezel with etched chapter markers at intervals of ten matches the color
of the case and encloses the highly scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
Chronograph and tachymeter complications provide added function to
truly outstanding form.
The round, black mother-of-pearl dial displays a date window at
4:00, luminous Arabic numerals at 3:00 and 9:00, luminous index markers
at 6:00 and 12:00, and diamond index markers at all remaining hour
positions. Sub-dials exist near 2:00, 6:00, and 10:00. Hour markers and
the 6:00 sub-dial have metallic outlines in the color of the case. A
tachymeter scale circles the outer dial rim while the Swiss legend name
and logo appear below 12:00. A Swiss G10.211 quartz movement drives the
metallic luminous hour, minute, and chronograph hands and metallic
sub-dial hands. Hand color matches case color.
A case-color-coordinating stainless steel bracelet produces a
satisfying aesthetic continuity and ramps up the sophistication on this
already dapper design. A push button dual deployant clasp keeps the

Tachymeter Complication
Used in conjunction with the chronograph, a tachymeter scale allows
for calculations of speed over a fixed distance, or any other
distribution of units per hour. The tachymeter scale functions
independent of the unit of distance provided the unit stays constant
for all comparative measurements. For example, a vehicle crosses the
start line and the chronograph is started. One mile later when the
vehicle crosses the finish line, the chronograph is stopped. The
chronograph hand will be pointed at the amount of elapsed time between
the start and stop points. The corresponding number on the tachymeter
scale where the chronograph hand is pointed reveals the average units
per hour at which the vehicle was traveling. In this example, the
chronograph hand ended up pointing at 9:00 meaning 45 seconds elapsed
which corresponds to approximately 80 MPH on the tachymeter scale.
