Madame Alexander 2001 MADC All-in-a-Row Cissette Suffragette
|
|
This lovely brunette Cissette was dressed especially for the All-in-a-Row (AIR) Luncheon at the Madame Alexander Doll Club (MADC) Convention in 2001. The AIR event is only open to those who have attended at least five conventions in a row. She represents a 1920s suffragette fighting for women's right to vote. Her maroon and tan striped dress was not made by the Alexander company but by the MADC committee that put on the event exclusively for this event's centerpiece. It is expertly made and fits Cissette perfectly. There were a very limited number of centerpieces made for this special event, less than 25 as I recall. She comes with a piece of green fabric, a metal gazebo filled with flowers and a co-ordinating striped doll stand. Also included, though wrinkled and worn, is the paper program for the luncheon.
