Cute 8" Alexanderkin Wendy Ann doll made by the Alexander Doll Company circa 1953-1954. She is a straight-leg walker and the mechanism still works smoothly, Her read hair is in it's original set, however her wig is just slightly askew, which is how she was made over 50 years ago. She is wearing a Madame Alexander blue and white checked romper dress over a one-piece with a matching checked bottom and white top. The romper buttons in back and the onesie has square snaps. Her dress shows some very light darkening (dirt?) on the white rick-rack on the bodice, but I've been reluctant to wash the dress since it is otherwise in excellent condition. The tag was removed by a previous owner many years ago. On her feet are vintage Alexander socks and newer shoes. The shoes are slip-ons, not side-snap ones, which show age-wear and one has a stain (from glue?) on the sole. Her eyebrows are a little faded, but her red lips and blushed cheeks are in excellent condition. This delightful little doll would make a wonderful addition to any collection!
