The front shows the
earliest reprint dust jackets for the two novels on the Reading
List for January 2009.
The Gold Shoe, 1930 and
The Mystery of Mary,
1912
On the reverse side is the
Reading List for the entire year.
The bookmark measures 2.5”x
6.5” and is made from high resolution scans of the original
vintage dust jackets, whose images have then been completely
restored to like-new condition. The bookmark is printed using
archival quality papers and inks, then hand laminated on both
sides.
The dust jacket for The
Mystery of Mary is particularly scarce.
I find it greatly enhances
the reading of my favorite authors to have the artwork connected
to a title quite literally at my fingertips.
