This is a brand new 2 cup teapot with an easy lift steeper. For use with teabags OR loose teas! The easy lift steeper takes the mess out of brewing your tea for those of us who enjoy our loose teas. As for shipping; I try to ship as quickly as possible, but due to working outside the home and also having a household and family to take care of, I can't always ship as quickly as I'd like. Insurance is optional but highly recommended since we are not responsible for damaged, lost, uninsured or misdirected items and this includes items that are shipped with USPS insurance! We highly recommend you insure your items with USPS insurance because if your item becomes damaged, lost and/or misdirected you will have to file a claim with the post office to recoup your loss since we are NOT responsible for any of the above. We only ship brand new never installed items so when the item you purchase from us leaves our hands it is undamaged and it's description accurately describes said item. I apologize ahead of time for any inconvenience this causes but due to dishonest people who we have tangled with, we are having to adopt this policy.
