Meissonier was best known for his Miltary scenes. He was invited by Napoleon to join the Imperial staff on the expendition to Italy in 1859.
This exceptional Gravure was done by the Noted Fine Arts Printer Gebbie & CO. This gravure is authentic and was produced in the 1880's on heavy quality stock.
