Old-fashioned monochromatic botanical designs with ribbon flourishes on diamond patterned backgrounds characterize these Victorian cross stitch projects - a working firescreen with 3 panels, a smaller version for decoration on the fireplace mantle, and a floral basket picture for an added accent on a nearby wall or table.
Firescreen consists of three bottom panels 12"w X 24"h, and 3 top arch panels 12"x X 9"h. Wooden frames are available at most crafts and hobby shops. Of course, the panels could be put to use for other projects -- large wall hangings, room dividers, curtains, afghans, etc.
