The Queen Conch or Pink Conch (Strombus gigas, named by
Linnaeus in 1758) is a gastropod, a soft-bodied type of mollusk that is
protected by a very hard shell. This invertebrate (animal without a backbone) is
found in warm shallow waters in grassbeds of the Caribbean
Sea.
Conchs are eaten by many animals, including rays and
people. The beautiful shell is also collected by people; the shell is also used
for jewelry and for conch trumpets. The Queen Conch is a relatively slow-growing

- We combine shipping on all purchases (So, PLEASE wait to pay until you have

- We prefer payments through PayPal we are not excepting google checkout at this time, which accepts Visa, Master Card,
Discover, American Express and eCheck. If outside the United States we ask that
payments be made through PayPal. We do accept Checks or Money Orders, however
please allow an additional 7 to 10 days for shipping. We do NOT accept foreign
money orders due to the bank fees imposed. Shipping charges are not refundable.
- Each Package comes with a USPS Delivery Confirmation Number.
- We charge actual weight for PRIORITY MAIL (no "handling fee"), so combined
shipping will save you money.
- First Class US Mail is available for items totaling less that 13 ounces.
- We take great care in our packaging and mark all items as fragile.
- We STRONGLY Recommend Shipping Insurance on these fragile items!
Insurance for US Shipping is $1.65 up to $50 and $2.05 for $50 to
$100; $2.45 for $100-$200 and $4.60 for $200-$300. Each $100 over this is an
additional $.90 per $100. |

Items do not meet advertised description-
If a suitable
replacement cannot be made, we will cheerfully refund your purchase price and
shipping costs for items returned in their original condition - within 10 days
of purchase.
- All items sold at Shell World are in stock at the time of purchase. Due
to the fragile nature of our products, on a rare occasion, a piece may become
damaged. If this happens, we will contact you immediately to make arrangements
for a substitute or a full refund.
