| Like its 1961 predecessor (also available - see my other listings), this nice big cookbook has more than 1,000 recipes for dishes ranging from appetizers to desserts, with the kind of simple, clear instructions that virtually guarantee success the first time you try them. As a companion to the original, or all by itself, this too is a classic -- a useful, all-purpose cookbook for daily use as well as special occasion cooking. Working as a brilliant team, Claiborne and Franey have improvised on the various themes presented to them by the world's greatest chefs and most gifted amateurs in their East Hampton kitchen to expand the frontiers of exquisite cooking...But throughout you will find that the only criteria is "good cooking."
Dimensions: 9.5 inches tall, 6.75 inches wide, about about 2 inches thick.
Condition: excellent, like new, with clean, completely intact pages, clean and straight vinyl clad covers, well protected by a dust jacket that is in good condition with repairs made to the edges (see photo).
