The League of United Planets sent their best agent, Clifford Croft, to stop them, along with the Clapper, an eccentric telekinetic who liked to clap at inappropriate times, and Red Sally, a constantly angry woman who could literally start fires with her mind (also at inappropriate times). As Croft becomes a target for Graftonite assassins, he finds he also needs the help of the legendary bounty hunter known as "The Silencer" to stop the Graftonite march towards conquest." .
