I had forgotten about a box I have of Bernice in brass. It has her B and these books are actually inscribed and signed by her and as a bonus she gives the reader that she is dedicating this to, her address in Mexico in case they wish to write her.
This is a box made of brass. the top layer is brass then covered with perhaps paper or leather hide and on that the cut out of 2 birds which are inlayed with amazing abablone that has rich purple blue and pink ... also detailed in brass frame --- HEAVY at ONE POUND & 9 OUNCES by my postal scale.
It is lined with rosewood. The legs are perfect and a while back someone added tape to the bottom of the legs to keep the feet of the leg from scratching the glass top. this works very well for me and I have left it, though the new owner could easily remove it and clean the tape off. The height is amost 2 inches. it is 5 3/4 side at the lid by 4 1/2 which is approx 1/8 larger than the inside by design. In other words it overlaps when closed. This box can be found online with 2 fish instead of the birds (and is about an inch smaller) with a damaged leg for $3200. Included in my sale are 2 books of Bernice Goodspped signed and personally inscribed. the cover of paricutin is not in good condition and has stains. The one picutre of the box showing like a gold stain is the sun shining in while I took the picture. it is not stained.
