Crown Ducal Florentine PLATE Short Sport Tavern Scene

| A lovely, vintage 8 1/2" square cream-colored plate with intricate fruit and flower embossing around the rim. In the center is an amusing colored line drawing of the inside of a tavern peopled by two well-dressed but very drunken gentlemen and a tired bartender, entitled "A Short Sport". This 1890s style political cartoon-like artwork is signed by Bob Dean. Besides drinking too much, it looks like the "sport" is tossing coins into a hat, and considering the players' state of inebriation, doubtful to last long.Marked "Crown Ducal Florentine England", below a crown stamp. The back has one small chip on the edge that does not appear in the front. The front, including all of the wonderful embossed detail as well as the central design, is undamaged, with no crazing, scratches, or chips.
Photos were taken on a sunny day by a pleated shade - those wide stripes are from shadows, and are not on the plate itself!A whimsical addition to your plate collection, this would be "at home" in any room of the house.

If you are in a hurry and pay immediately without waiting for me to adjust your invoice, you'll receive the amount of your overpayment back, either as an online refund or tucked inside your package.
